Sysop Edit

Hey Don, Thanks for volunteering to be a sysop. I will go ahead and give you sysop rights. I think you've contributed a lot to SeattleWiki and seem interested in making it better and cleaning up articles, which is great.

As far as being sysop, the main changes will be that you can delete and move pages, block users/ip addresses and rollback changes more easily. Of course before deleting pages or making drastic changes make sure you add something to the talk page so people can discuss it -- just as you've been doing already. You may want to check out the Wikipedia administrators page and some of the Meta Wikipedia, like the documentation, although I think there's probably a lot more there than you actually need to know.

Let me know if you have any questions etc,

Hey Don, Thanks for all the cleaning up and wiki gardening you've been doing! I posted a comment on the coffee shop about some page organization stuff; let me know if you don't agree with something or have other suggestions...

Also if you'd like to contribute to the blog at some point, just let me know and I'll add you as user. I would like to get more people involved in SeattleWiki; it's nice that we get people contributing tidbits once in a while but it's definitely not something that's well known around Seattle, yet. Maybe with time.

Thanks for cleaning up that nasty spam bot! I have blocked a larger subnet range for good measure.

Thanks again for the spam cleanup; they seem to be getting smarter unfortunately.
