Shoreline, Washington is a city of more than 53,000 people located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle on I-5. Shoreline is bordered on the south by 145th St (Seattle city limits), on the north by 205th St (King-Snohomish county line), on the west by Puget Sound, and on the east by the city of Lake Forest Park.
Shoreline incorporated as a city in 1995.
Shoreline is the home to two High Schools: Shorewood, and Shorecrest, both have produced notable alumni in the arts industry. Shorewood is the graduating school of "Pedro the Lion's" David Bazan, and Solo artist/Record Company owner, Damien Jurado. As well as Film producer Garth Stein, and singer Layne Staley, of Alice in Chains. Shorecrest, on the other hand, was home to Rainn Wilson, or Dwight Schrute, of the Office.
