Montlake is a relatively affluent neighborhood northeast of Capitol Hill, and south of the University of Washington. Its boundaries are Portage Bay and the Montake Cut on the north, the Washington Park Arboretum to the east, and Interlaken Park to the south and west. 24th Avenue runs through it.
