Kenmore is a small city of nearly 19,000 residents located at the northern tip of Lake Washington, about 12 miles north-northeast of downtown Seattle. It is bordered on the west and northwest by Lake Forest Park and Brier and on the north and east by Bothell.

Kenmore incorporated August 31, 1998. Before then, it was an unincorporated area of King County.

Kenmore is home to the headquarters of Kenmore Air, a seaplane airline offering commuter flights among several waterfront locations in the greater Puget Sound area.
