History[]

The Green Lake Branch was one of the many libraries in Seattle built from grants by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. It opened in 1910. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has been renovated several times. The building's latest renovation was completed on March 6, 2004, as the sixth project completed under the Libraries for All building project.
