Anhalt, Frederick William (1896-1996)[]
Seattle area contractor and architect known mostly for a number of remarkable apartment buildings built in Seattle in the late 20's and early 30's.
Anhalt was born in Minnesota and travelled to Seattle as a salesman. In the late 20's he started a development company and evenutally specialized in producing luxury apartments. Anhalt was an untrained architect, and the characteristic style of his buildings is largely borrowed from Tudor revival architecture. Anhalt was responsible for the overall style of the buildings, not the details of their design.
