The Last Exit on Brooklyn was a University District coffeehouse, founded 1967 by Irv Cisky, who operated it until his death in the early 1990s. Home to chess players, go players, guitar players, two-bit hustlers, and coffeehouse intellectuals, shortly after Irv's death it moved from its longtime location in the 3900 block of Brooklyn Ave. NE to the Upper Ave—the 5200 block of University Way NE— where it died a slow death under a series of managers and owners. SIS Productions celebrates the grand finale of its popular hit series! Sex in Seattle 20: Happily Ever After . . . premieres at West of Lenin located at 203 N 36th Street, West of the Lenin statue in Fremont. The show runs April 27 - May 26, playing Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. Tickets are $16 for general admission, $12 for students/seniors/actors. Sex in Seattle is the country's longest-running theatrical romantic comedy experience! Each episode explores the ups and downs of life and love from a uniquely humorous perspective. Sex in Seattle Fun Facts: • A total of 78 actors have performed in the mainstage versions of the shows – 20% Filipino Americans, 11% Korean American, 10% Japanese American, 6% Chinese American, 6% Vietnamese American, 4% Thai American, 1% East Indian American, 35% European American, 4% Latino American and 3% African American. • SIS Productions is proud that it has remained in the black for every single production/project we have ever done in our now almost twelve-year history. • Sex in Seattle also has a successful partnership with the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre under the name Sex in Vancouver.

• Sex in Seattle was selected as an Audrey Magazine Trailblazer in 2006, the International Examiner’s 2011 reader’s poll award winner for “Event you most look forward to each year” as well as a Seattle Gay News Best Theatre of 2011 pick, and a Seattle Metropolitan Magazine Best of Seattle Winner. • Sex in Seattle has been featured on the covers of Pacific Northwest Magazine and Colors Northwest magazine and featured on NPR. • Sex in Seattle has performed the show at more venues than any other show in town: Northwest Actors Studio (now Annex), Theatre Off Jackson, Nippon Kan Theatre, Bathhouse Theatre, Center House Theatre, Richard Hugo House and now West of Lenin. • Scenes from Sex in Seattle have been invited to perform at venues such as The Guthrie and Mixed Blood theatres in Minneapolis, to the National Association of Asian American Professionals National Conference, to Bumbershoot, to Town Hall and more.

Sex in Seattle Q & A's: A lively chat with the cast follows every Friday and Saturday performance between April 28 and May 25 about the show, relationships, dating, the dynamics of race and pretty much anything else the audience would like to talk about.
