Just north of downtown proper, you are never more than 10 minutes walk from Pike Place Market. The action is centralized on 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue between downtown and Denny Street. Home to the legendary rock music venue The Crocodile, one of the best video game and pinball hangouts in town Shorty's, along with many other fantastic venues, eateries, and bars.
